censoring the black creative.

In May 2024, I introduced Her Flower to the world—a brand rooted in creativity, empowerment, and reverence for the healing power of plant medicine. Every design, detail, and decision has been a reflection of my values, experiences, and mission to build a space where community, truth, and transformation can thrive.

Her Flower was never just about merchandise—it was about creating a movement. I poured my heart into designs like “The Future is Female*” graphic, crafted to uplift and empower women like me: resilient, visionary, and rooted in purpose.

When I left my former employer in June 2024, I never imagined that the work I shared with love and pride would be repurposed without my consent. However, by mid-July, they released a line of hoodies, t-shirts, and hats that unmistakably echoed my designs. The resemblance was so strong, people even congratulated me on what they thought was a collaboration, unaware of what had actually transpired.

I am speaking out because protecting the integrity of my work is non-negotiable. Her Flower represents more than fashion—it is my story, my voice, and my dedication to honoring plant medicine and empowering community. What happened was not only unethical—it was deeply personal.

This moment is not just about intellectual property. It is about creative integrity, accountability, and standing up for the value of original work; especially when it is born from lived experience.

I will continue to build Her Flower on my own terms—just as I always have. I refuse to be silenced, erased, or overshadowed. Thank you to everyone who has supported me through this journey. The vision is only growing, and Her Flower is just getting started.
